Board Publishes 2011 Premium Rates
2011
The Public Employees' Benefit Board has published 2011 premium rates for its medical and dental plans (medical plans include vision and prescription drug coverage). Premium rates are based in large part on utilization and medical price trend. The rates also include a one-percent assessment on claims and administration for self-insured plans and a one-percent premium tax on fully-insured plans.

Published rates are those for PEBB-eligible state employees, COBRA participants, retirees and other self-pay participants.

Coverage for Adult Children
Insurance policy
Beginning Jan. 1, 2011, members will be able to cover children to age 26 in their health plans. They can enroll these children during Open enrollment. Beginning June 1, 2010, PEBB will not drop coverage for children who are currently enrolled as of that date and who would otherwise lose coverage by losing eligibility.
